The Club is now in possession of two shoot grounds one capable of holding a 1 x 40 shoot and the second a 2 x 40 shoot.
Delivery of the 3D order is expected early in January and we have been provided with two iso containers for the storage in a secure compound adjacent to the woods.
Work Parties will commence in the new year to prepare the ground with a view to holding our first open, mid-year.
Maps of the woods can be seen by following the compass link.
A new club forum has been created, many thanks to Archers Rest for hosting it for us, Please follow the link below. You will be required to sign up to AR, then provide me with you User Name so I can grant access. I will post all new and up to date information there.

In 1977 I began my long
affair with archery with the Black Water Bowmen, in Essex. As with a lot of
people this was with target archery. In 1985 I shot my first 1300 FITA.
Then in 1988 I joined the RAF, continuing my interest in archery. I shot for the
Services in Germany competing in the RAF championships, and winning the Anglo-Germany
Champs.
In 1992 I moved to Kent and formed the Manston Archery Club, two years later
winning both the indoor and outdoor Champs.
1996 brought me to Lincolnshire where I joined Castle Bowmen. This is where I
got my first taste of field archery. With such a previous history in target
archery it is no surprise that I settled into the new discipline quickly and
later that year won a silver in the EFAA European Bowhunters. It was at this time I also qualified as a GNAS coach, which began my interest in
bow mechanics and archery form.
In 1997 I was the driving force behind the creation of Bainland Archers, later
to become RAF Coningsby Archery Club, and then Black Sheep Archers, winning
various shoots along the way. By 1998 I had also qualified as an National Field
Archery Society coach.
In 2000 I put away my bow for a while to concentrate on having a family and at
this time was made an honorary member of Black Sheep Archery club.
By the end of 2005 I
had started shooting again, having contributed to the production of three
children (the eldest of which, at three, is already showing an interest in
following dad to the practice butts).
I still enjoy target archery and have now qualified as a GNAS county coach.
Field archery remains my main pastime but now I find I have a greater interest in
coaching and hand making archery equipment, mainly arrows which I sell by
pre-order only (see the sales Page).
I have been fortunate enough over the years to own and shoot many types of bow ranging from the latest technical compounds to the most basic of traditional bows. Obviously with my love of all things to do with archery, my collection is always growing!
I will endeavor to help and answer any questions posted on this sight.
