GENERAL FORMULA FOR GROUPING 3D TARGETS

The following formula can be used to determine which group any one 3D target would be assigned to for course placement.

1) Measure (In Inches) the depth of the outer kill zone vertically, central of the inner kill.

2) Multiply this measurement by itself, i.e. 7" X 7" = 49
This gives the 3D group Rating number (GRN)

Therefore:

3D Animal

Depth of Ring (inches)

Group Rating Number (GRN)

Turkey 5 25
Javelina 7 49
Boar 8.5 72
Standing Bear 11 121

The Groups are then determined as Below

GROUP

GROUP RATING NUMBER (GRN)
1 (40-65) Yards 90+
2 (30-45) Yards 60-90
3 (20-35) Yards 30-60
4 (5-25) Yards 0-30

Please Note this is just a guide, It should help and also prevent seeing a woodchuck at 60 Yards!
